Surreal

“Having an oddly dreamlike quality.” This has been my day. I have been in emergency situations before but this was the first bomb threat. I was about to eat my lunch when we heard over the P.A. to evacuate. We were all kind of stunned but quickly moved out. Then the fire trucks, ambulance, police and media arrived. I remember thinking this can’t be real. We all stood around chatting and waiting. After an hour or so we were told we could go back into the building. Nothing had been found. Some of the staff were nervous about returning. I just sat down, ate my lunch and then made myself busy working. I was very glad to get home. It still does not seem real.
