How bizarre

Today it was raining as I left for work. On the way there something rather bizarre took place. The wiper blades went insane.

The one on the driver’s side arched up in the middle and the other one seemed to be stuck. I was able to turn them off and then saw that the one ( driver’s side) had bent up on either end away from the window.

I pulled over and in the pouring rain I managed to bend the wiper arm back more towards the window. This made it so the wipers would work sort of, though a path through the middle of the blades was not hitting the window at all. It at least made it possible for me to continue to work.

After work I put new wipers on both sides and had a good look at the old ones.
The drivers’ side one was still bent back at a 30 degree angle and it was a fairly thick piece of metal that I can not move (not sure how I managed to move it as far as I did earlier). The other one, the last 5 or 6 inches of the rubber and metal holder was shredded.

I still can not figure out what caused this bizarre incident but it gave my co workers a good laugh while I was describing my antics to get to work.
