Daylight Savings?

For years I thought this was just another one of our prime minister’s crazy plans but as I have grown, I have discovered that most of the world has had crazy leaders who insist we change our clocks twice a year.

I have never seen any advantages to this strange custom with the possible exception of having one hour extra sleep in the fall of the year. This morning I sit here with one less hour of sleep and it all seems a rather pointless exercise.

It’s almost like one gigantic April fools joke to see who is paying attention and who will be late for work.

  1. Except that we’d be an hour early for work on April fool’s here on the other side of the world.
I must admit that having longer daylight hours after work, during summer, does mean more time can be spent at the beach before it gets too late.
But other than that, I think my curtains might be fading. ;)
