Valentine

Our first Valentine’s week was a time of giving, giggling, and telling the world of our love. My hubby and I had been dating for almost 3 months. He told the entire college campus at a singles get together that he and I were an item. He used a skit and got several of the guys involved. Then later that week we went out for dinner and he gave me a beautiful glass heart shaped pendant with a diamond chip in the middle. This was his first gift to me.

In later years I have received flowers, other necklaces, and dinners out on the town and we often reminisce about that first year.

Every year we also have a double celebration as his birthday falls on the 13th and it has never been an unlucky day. It has been 24 years since that first Valentine’s Day. More in love then ever and as Whitney Houston says,

I believe in you and me
I believe that we will be
In love eternally
Well as far as I can see
You will always be the one
For me (Oh yes, you will)”
