The End?
I watched parts of a movie last night with my oldest. It was yet another end of the world disaster movie. Funny thing with these movies is that it is never the real end of the world. In this one half the population is gone but still there are many US citizens left who were smart enough to survive… (Canada, England, Russia, well actually most of the northern hemisphere is gone) Now they don’t show you how they put back together civilization it is assumed that life eventually returns to normal though I don’t see how it can with so many countries no longer existing. Even those which are comparatively smaller disasters leave scars on the landscape and scars in people’s lives. I don’t think life will return to what it was for many of the survivors of the great tidal wave over in India and not for those who were affected by the mud slides in California. Every year some part of our planet is hit with something that changes it. Another thing we noticed is that when people see something coming they don’t run away, they tend to stand there watching it as if in a trance or perhaps they can’t believe what they are seeing. A few years back when we lived on the northern west coast of Canada, they warned us a tidal wave was coming and to get to higher ground. Do you know there were crowds of people lined up along the beach to watch! We were getting ready to evacuate but others considered this a good time to view the coming attraction!— Kareen
