Weather?????

There is a saying around here… If you don’t like the weather, wait a minute. This past week is another example. Last week we were freezing to death with -40 C. which is the same as -40 F. Then Monday a Chinook came in and now it is around +13 C. which is +55 F. I have known days where we have had every kind of weather in it. From sun, to clouds, to rain, then snow and always the wind. We are never without our wind. Some days it is definitely windier but never a day with absolutely no wind. I think we would all fall over if the wind stopped because we are used to balancing ourselves against the wind. We do not live in Windy Chicago not even near the windy corner of downtown Winnipeg. Just west of us there are large fields of wind mills. They were constructed to take advantage of our constant wind to produce some power. So far it has been rather costly but I hope they come up with something that will work. We can not hope to live on solar power what with so much darkness during the winter. We’d have to have ways to store massive amounts of solar power to last us. I think the wind idea makes the most sense as long as they can get the bugs out of the system. Now if we could just come up with some way to regulate those temperatures…....
