Visitors

It’s a good thing we have visitors once in a while. It gives me some leverage to get my daughter to clean her room and for others to be motivated to pick up their things. Mom and Dad are coming for a visit. So this evening I got help to get the space cleared for their stay. My daughter is picking up the garbage in her room and even the dishes have been put upstairs in the kitchen. She is a collector so if anything is missing we check her room or where ever she has been. She is even vacuuming! Wow! Speaking of visits. I just remembered something my Great Aunt Mary used to tell me. “Never out stay your welcome.” This was always her reply when I would complain that she was leaving too soon. She thought it is better to be wished to stay longer then to be wished to stay shorter.
