Snow Storm
Today the snow started falling and the wind blowing about 1pm and kept up until after 6pm. I dutifully headed off to work wishing that I was instead tucked into my bed with a hot chocolate and a good book. You would not believe how many people who could have been home with their hot chocolate and good book but instead were out shopping! Yes, there are many folks in this world who, when they see a snow storm think, ” Ah! Shopping weather!” There were also people who dragged their kids out in this weather to shop. Even a couple who were there returning wedding gifts. Yes….. a newly wed couple with “nothing better to do?” on a snowy, stormy day, so they thought ’ hey let’s pack up the unwanted gifts and head on out to our favorite store and return them’. Personally I tend towards wanting to hibernate during cold weather and only go out when required to by bosses, children, or hubby. I would never just go shopping in bad weather if there was any possible way to avoid it. I think I should have been born in a more hospitable climate.— Kareen
