My Christmas List
We are about to embark on yet another Christmas season.
My tree and lights are up, the cards are done and some are delivered. Tomorrow we begin with the count down. I have just a few little things to pick up and I pause on the brink of this Christmas precipice to ponder the meaning for me this year.
There are the usual crazy customers to deal with, the busyness of those extra things we do, but before I go head long into that dark cavern I want to stop and check myself as to where I am headed and why. What is my attitude and what are my goals?
This morning, I was asking for some friends to pray for me and for all those in retail because it can be so easy to get grumpy with those who are grumpy around us.
I think that I may just be able to come up with a list of December goals that I plan to expand through this year.
1.Face each person I meet with the attitude of a friend.
2.Keep my sense of humour even when all around me have lost theirs.
3. Seek to be an encourager as I believe this is one of the best gifts to give and to receive.
4.Focus on the good I see..
5.Stop to relax and remind myself that "this too shall pass".
So when I meet you at work, I trust you will see a friendly face and will go away with a lighter spirit then when you came in.
