Remembrance Day

Here it is once again and I think it is something that is remembered very differently by those in my generation except for those who are now fighting or who's children are fighting.

I know I think of these people as extremely brave and I am quite sure I would not be brave enough. But you never know unless you are in the situation.

I do think that it is a horrible thing and not something that should be thought of as wonderful in any way. It may have been necessary but not something one should pursue in life. Wanting to be a soldier for it's own sake is at the least odd and at the worst suicidal. I understand fighting for a cause and for justice and we certainly do need to do that because there are many in this world who are unjust and some who are insane and need to be put away in a padded cell at least until they can behave.

I know there are some who would strongly disagree with me and that is your right- because I know someone somewhere fought for that right.
