Taking a Benalyn Day
though I am not sick, I am very tired for many reasons and thus I am taking today off and having the benefit of being paid.
I slept in to 6 am this morning and brought my son home from his night shift. He needs to get a day job and soon. One that is closer to where he lives as well.
I managed to get a few errands done this morning and now I am reading and in my pjs and trying my best to not feel guilty about being lazy. It's not really working though I have been enjoying the book I am reading. It has been awhile since I had the luxury of reading a book.
Funny that never seemed to be a luxury before and now it is.
One more month and then I get a week of holidays.. yeah!
I plan to enjoy that time off. With all the nonsense at work with my son and my job it's been getting me down a bit and I don't like that. I want to step back a bit and enjoy the moment again.
I have been spoiled though by a friends I drive to work. She makes jewelry and she has made me several pieces that are quite nice as gifts to say thinks for driving her. I enjoy her company. She is one of those people who gets me. We have the same sense of humor which can be dangerous.......
