It's quieter
I have noticed a few things at home lately.
It's a little quieter. My son is not making noise now he is not here and my one daughter who used to always be getting mad at him is only quietly complaining about aches and pains and not about her latest blow up with brother.
I notice that my oldest and I have more time to chat and it's not about 'the hippie'.
I notice that I don't trip over his shoes trying to get out the door in the morning or coming in at night.
I notice that our food seems to be going farther and lasting longer. I am learning to cook less. He is such a skinny fellow I did not think he ate much but I guess all that grazing adds up.
I notice that my stress level is actually a little less. Or maybe it's just different.
I notice that my evenings are more relaxed and I get to sleep easier.
I also notice that once again it is change and once again I don't like change but I try to go with the flow. I refuse to be a nutty mother who wo't let her kids go. It's hard to stand back and let them make mistakes.
I also notice and want the world to know that all of my wonderful kids make me proud to be there mom.
Each of them are growing and learning and doing so much and are good citizens.
I told one of the gals at work today, " You know it's when your kids do something kind or thoughtful that you are reassured that you must have done something right in raising them."
I love my kids can you tell?
