Hope

There are moments when I see a ray of sunshine, a glimmer of hope that somehow I may have instilled some good qualities in my children.

Tonight it snowed and my son who is 18, put on his coat and went out and shoveled our walk, the driveway, the sidewalk in front of our house and the neighbors houses on both sides. He also shoveled the one neighbor's driveway, she lives alone.

I was proud and when I saw what he had done, I thanked him.

My oldest shows me her common sense almost on a regular basis and offers me good ideas when I need them. I am so thankful for that.

My baby girl, is usually doing something different but every now and then she comes through. When we were making supper tonight we could not find the vegetable strainer anyway. She finally came into the room and looked into a cupboard and found it right away. Really not sure how she knew it was there because she tends to forget where she leaves stuff all the time.
