Cry More Pee Less
My grandfather (the Irish one) was a fun loving and practical man. The other one was too but he was English and I digress.
I have been told on many ocassions that when my mom would cry he would respond with "Cry more pee less."
Now I am not sure that there is any medical basis nor even clear logic in this but it doesn't have to. The point is when you are crying and get told this, it does make you stop crying even for a second to try to figure out what is meant and sometimes looking at the twinkle in his eyes would cause you to laugh.. which can sometimes also bring on tears of joy and well you know, other leakages.
by now you are wondering where I am going with this?
ok here goes.
Today at work I embarassed myself.
My boss was talking to me about some things that needed doing and I am very tired and she stopped and looked at me and asked me if everything was alright. I guess I looked as bad as I felt and of course with my tender heart and tiredness, the tears began to well up.
Then my boss got worried and what popped into my head? yup- old grandpa's voice. that made me smile and by now my boss is probably thinking I am heading for a breakdown.
I had to reassure her several times that I was ok.
I am so embarassed.....
