Day 5
It's 5:54 am on the beginning of day 5 of being a department manager. So far I still have my head above water but just barely.
There is much to do as the previous manager did not do a lot so I have her back log of stuff to do as well.
I hope in a couple of weeks I won't feel quite so much like I am drowning.
It is fun for my family to have me home for supper every day and every weekend off. My body is still getting used to being up so early.
Today I must get outside into the large trailers that have my overstock and see how much I can get onto the floor.
Next week it's getting the stuff out that is in the upcoming flyer for back to school. Yes, I know it's the first week of August but we have back to school pretty muc h set up in the store.
It's funny too as my friends who are not managers still treat me the same way but some of the other managers treat me differently now I am suppose to be one of them.
There are still a few managers who think they are too good but I am not into that nonsense so I don't really care they are stuck up.
Now if I can just get my full timer who thinks he does not have to listen to women to listen ......
