Addiction

I know it now, I have an addiction.

First I was in denial, then I found myself telling people,"I can quit anytime I want to." But then I was temorarily cut off.

It was awful, first the shakes, then hillusinations, and the intense cravings. Shortness of breath was next followed by thoughts of depression. Maybe I'd never have that pleasure again.

I looked for things to take the place of my addiction but nothing else really was the same. I was intensly longing, dreaming and wondering how long I would have to wait.

then it happened.....

The INTERNET service was restored!

Now I could surf the web, check my mail, write this blog, do all the things I enjoy so much in life.

I know I have an addiction, but without forced shut down I know I can't give it up.

  1. I thought you were going to say you were addicted to Tim Tams!
But the internet is not so much an addiction, as a necessity, really.
It’s kind of like the air you breathe, the sleep you need and the food you eat. It’s what keeps you humming through the day.
