Why?

I think this is almost the first question on the lips of every one born. It is also the hardest to answer and a lot of the time we have no answer. That is one reason why man keeps searching. He wants to know why.

Is it good for us to know why?

Will it make a difference in our lives?

I don't know the answer to that one either.

I just know that being human means you want to know why.

I grew up with a mom who usually answered that question with, "Because."

I used to be frustrated as to why she was keeping the answer from me. It was not until I grew up that I began to understand that she said, "Because" when she did not know the answer.

At least that way I was not bombarded with a lot of frothy answers that also meant nothing or were lies. I did get my share of child hood lies from Santa, to the toothfairy, and  I learned to deal with the truth of those lies as I discovered it.

Now I am left with a lot of big whys that no one seems to have the answer to.
