INVENTORY

A word that can stirke fear and loathing into a business person's heart.

Yesterday was our last night to get ready for inventory. We had to put things in order on the shelves, label things that were not to be inventoried, label things that were boxed up.

Managed to get it done and clocked out by 11:15pm. Which is earlier then last year. there were a few others still at it when we left.

I was so glad to have today off to rest up some and also the day of inventory is so boring. You can't touch anything until the company who counts is finished counting. So you spend your day fighting over customers to  help and waiting until they give the all clear so  you can clean up the place. Yes, customer's can be very messy.

So today I slept some and took one daughter out and picked up some groceries and now I am doing laundry and will soon be off to bed so I can rise at 5am to start another day.

I know last week I had planned to spend some time with a friend but the week went by too fast I never got the chance to arrange anything.

I am also glad that inventory is over so now I can think about looking for another job. One that gives me more pay and less evenings. My family needs me around.

Discussion

  1. You dread inventories, I dread report writing time and that’s coming up soon.
Have you heard anything about the other job you were enquiring about?
