Windy
Wind is an everyday occurance in this city but today it was particularly windy. something over 80km. I had to actually push into the wind to get myself moving from the vehicle to the building to get to work.
The wind also makes a lot of noise at work. It is a big warehouse type building and you can hear things banging and rattling which does unnerve some who are not used to hearing it.
Fortunately, it is not so noticable out where the customers are because of the 'muzac' and the PA announcements. But back in the staff lounge it is very noticable.
We got to talking about wind today during a break. Funny how these things come up...
I was telling them about the Gale force winds we lived through when we were in northern B.C.
One night windows were broken, our living room picture window moved, we could see large metal garbage bins (the kind used by offices and apartment complexes) rolling down the street.
Many fishing boats found themselves on shore and some of the dock was blown away.
The wind can be such a powerful thing and here stands little man thinking he is so grand and in control......
The one who is really in control? the one who made the wind...

Well the name of our town means, “Wet and windy” but I don’t think I’ve ever been in the windy conditions that you’ve described here.
Tonight however, after a particularly hot day, we had many of the doors and windows open when suddenly a great gust of wind banged about 4 of them shut. It was very, very loud!
The wind is certainly powerful but Jesus can even tell the wind to be still.
