Cookies and Christmas
I did it!
I actually got some cookies made today.
It all started when hubby asked if I could make some muffins today. Then the ball got rolling and before I knew it, I had 2 kinds of cookies and 2 kinds of muffins made.
Now I wonder how many will be left by the 25th?
The days are flying by and in less then 2 weeks it will be Christmas. It has been a reflective time for me. I see the shoppers who are grabbing and must have as if their life depended on having that gift. I hear about those who have nothing and wonder what more I can do. I think about the reason why we have this celebration. What does it really mean?
Is it about a baby? yes and no.
It is much more then that.
It is a time, I think, when we are able as human beings to put a face, a place and a time, to the gift of grace.
I think God knew that we humans needed to see something conrete to understand the cost of sin, and the value of forgiveness.
