I Love A Parade?!
I have many fond memories of parades in the past. Sitting on the sidwalk or up on a roof, watching the floats, the horses, the bands go marching by.
This morning, I got up early and my one daughter and I went off to catch up with grandparents and nephew, so we could get a good seat and watch the parade. The paper had been bragging for a few days that his one would be special. There would be the national R.C.M.P. with their musical ride. I knew they would not be performing their whole thing at the parade but I did expect more then just 4 on horseback and riding together at the front of the parade.
To top it off, for the first time ever it was so cold that even with a jacket on I was shivering. The parade lasted for 90 minutes which was a decent length and there were some bands, some floats and some horses, but not nearly as good as I remember from the past.
I think I need an ice cream.
