Christmas part one

I named this part one as it is still November and I am sure there will be many more of this theme to follow. I like this time of year. NO I do not like the snow much nor the cold. I do not like the short days or the icy roads. But I do like the air of anticipation, the excitement, the fun, the giving, the surprises. I also like how a lot of people tend to be a little happier ( yes there are some who are grumpier) I like the songs and the silliness , the decorating and the sparkle of everyone and everything. I suppose it could lose it’s excitement if we had it all year long, but I wish we could keep just a bit of that joy, the fun, the childlike wonder about life every day. Many people take themselves and life way too seriously and then, not only lose their own sparkle but they try to take away the sparkle from those around them too. I like to sparkle, it’s fun.

  1. This morning when I woke up, one of my first thoughts were, “It’s nearly Christmas” and then thought of you Kareen! I was thinking about the fact that you celebrate Christmas long before December starts!

  2. I know how you feel, Christmas has become a very special time of year for me, particularly since I have become a PK. It is so special, because during the time when all else was unstable, I could look foward to Christmas as one unchanging event, which I could look to for hope.
