New Toy
I gots a new toy! It’s a new sewing machine. It has a needle threader, and a walking foot which makes quilting easier. It is so nice to use and I was inspired to make a king size quilt for our bed. So I bought the fabric 2 days ago and have cut out the pieces and have most of them put together already. I just have the border on the 2 sides to do and then I can quilt it.
Unfortunately it is far too hot today to be sitting under a lot of material, sewing, so I will leave that for another day. I know it will be ready in plenty of time before the winter sets in.
This afternoon, partly to avoid the heat and also because I needed a good laugh, we went to see the movie “Madagascar”. It was hilarious and several times I laughed right out loud. But it was ok as other people were laughing too. For once not all the funny bits are in the previews, it’s a funny story, not with much of any great motto or lesson, just a feel good story you can take your kids to.
