He Died So Young

He was only 45. I talked with him Saturday morning, he was on his holidays and doing some shopping. Later that night he was found dead on the highway near his motor bike.

It hardly seems possible to be so alive, laughing with death being the last thing on your mind, yet hours later that body lies lifeless on the ground.

It seems too hard for me to get my head around. I have faced the death of friends and family many times and each time it causes me to ponder. How a person can be so alive in one minute and then gone in the next.

It is true what the Bible says, that our life is but a breath. Very fragile and we can’t add a minute to it by our own doing.
