Tornado

Yesterday there was golf ball size hail stones which hit my son on his way home from the skatepark, there were funnel clouds over our local store and apparently 2 tornados touched down very near our place.

It was kind of weird. When I phoned home, I was told that they only saw some lightening but no rain or hail nor funnel clouds over my house. I was very grateful.

I was also grateful when I found out my son made it home in mostly one piece. I think he may just take the weather a little more seriously in future.

I was also grateful when no tornado touched down while I was working. It did clear out the store for a while (the looks of the clouds) but soon the shoppers returned.

I also heard rumors of others stores near us closing early so their staff could get home. Some of our staff commented that it seemed that our managers did not care for their staff, but I think it is more that if they closed and were not later justified in having the tornado hit then they would be up the creek as it were, with the higher up bosses who’s only motto is “Sell, Sell, Sell”.
