Catching up
It has been along time since I said anything. Not that there is a great crowd of readers waiting impatiently for my next installment.
Life has been rather busy, wet, and tiring. I have managed to finally finish this cross stitch picture I have been doing since last October. Now to get it framed and on the wall. I do not plan to do anther project so large.
Next I plan to get finished my nieces’ and nephew’s presents, my daughter’s summer shorts, and some wall painting.
Today I mowed the back yard and if we could eat grass, we would have enough to feed us through the winter! It was over a foot high back there. We also have a crop of mushrooms I found buried in the yard. It is suppose to rain again tomorrow, so at least I got the lawn done before that.
I really should not complain though as the grass on these desert hills is so green and we have been fortunate in remaining dry in our home. Sales for plastic bins has gone through the roof for those who have not been so dry and I heard that a store roof collapsed yesterday during the last thunder storm.
All this weekend, there are some police up on the Wal-Mart roof trying to raise money for the local special Olympics. When the storm hit, those guys came flying down the ladder off that roof.
I guess they decided they were not in the mood to be fried up there with all the metal scaffolding.
I guess that is the short version of the highlights of the last couple of week.
